Build Financial Confidence Through Practice
Hands-on workshops starting August 2025 for Australian families
Learning about money shouldn't feel overwhelming. Our upcoming workshops focus on practical skills you can apply right away — from setting up budgets that actually work to planning for big family decisions.
These aren't theoretical finance lectures. We work through real scenarios that families face, and you'll leave with tools you can start using the next day.

Sessions run between August and November, with most programs meeting weekly. Small groups mean you get actual attention when you're stuck on something.
Household Budget Foundations
Six Thursday evenings working through how to set up a budget that matches how your family actually spends money. We'll cover tracking expenses without making it tedious, building emergency funds, and adjusting when life throws surprises your way.
Saving for Major Purchases
Four-week intensive on planning for big expenses — house deposits, vehicles, education costs. We look at realistic timelines, different savings strategies, and how to balance saving with current living costs. Practical, not preachy.
Understanding Debt Management
Five sessions covering credit cards, personal loans, mortgages, and consolidation options. We'll work through actual repayment scenarios and look at strategies that can reduce interest costs over time. This one fills up quickly.
Superannuation Basics
Three-week workshop on understanding your super — what the fees mean, how to compare funds, when to consolidate, and making additional contributions. We keep it straightforward and focused on what actually matters for your situation.
Teaching Kids About Money
Four sessions for parents on age-appropriate ways to introduce financial concepts to children. We cover pocket money systems, goal-setting exercises, and how to talk about family finances honestly without creating anxiety.
Year-End Financial Review
Two intensive sessions before the holidays to review your year financially and set up for the next one. We'll look at what worked, what didn't, and build a plan for the year ahead that feels manageable.
Who's Teaching These Sessions
Our instructors are financial planners who've worked with hundreds of Australian families. They're not here to sell products — they're here to help you understand concepts that financial institutions sometimes make unnecessarily complicated.
What makes our approach different is that we focus on teaching skills, not memorizing rules. You'll leave knowing how to work through financial decisions on your own.
Sienna Lachlan
Lead Instructor
Spent 14 years helping families navigate financial transitions. Sienna runs most of our foundational workshops and has a knack for explaining complex topics without making people feel lost.
Declan Thorne
Debt Strategy Instructor
Former bank lending manager who now teaches the other side of the equation. Declan's debt management sessions are practical and judgment-free, focusing on realistic paths forward.
Freya Callahan
Super & Retirement Specialist
Freya demystifies superannuation in ways that make sense. Her background in fund administration means she knows where the confusion points are and addresses them directly.
How Our Workshops Actually Work
We keep groups small because financial planning is personal. You'll work through examples based on real situations, not textbook scenarios that don't match anyone's actual life.
-
Hands-On Practice
You bring your own financial questions and we work through them together. No generic lectures about concepts you'll forget by next week.
-
Practical Tools
We provide spreadsheets, calculators, and templates you can actually use. Everything is designed for Australian tax and super rules.
-
Real Discussions
Most learning happens when participants share what's working or not working for them. We create space for honest conversations about money challenges.
-
Ongoing Support
Questions don't stop when the workshop ends. We're available for follow-up discussions and can point you toward resources when you need them.
